Music and programming / AURA
Live programming, AI presenters and automation share one central workspace.
Main Playout connects songs, voice links, jingles and programme commitments in a clear broadcast queue. During a live shift, the presenter uses A/B players, Soundboard, the library, prompter and Daily Plan. For automated programming, prepared schedules and sources feed the queue, including AI presenter content. Run live, recorded or fully AI-presented programming through the same system.
SPECIFIC CAPABILITIES
Edit the queue and choose manual operation for a live show or AUTO to continue from prepared sources. A/B players show progress, duration and vocal cues. Use recorded and AI voice links in the same programme.
The Library finds a known song, while Suggestions highlights candidates based on history, ratings, category, mood and tempo. Preview selected songs and add them to the queue.
Soundboard provides colour-coded buttons, profiles, two channels, looping, shortcuts and linked macros. Sweepers add the station's recognisable sound through adjustable transitions between songs.
Daily Plan brings together news, advertising, speech tasks, requests and programme events. The schedule, hour templates and daily exceptions help prepare each presenting shift.
AURA prepares speech content for AI-presented programming and prompter text for live presenters. The built-in AURA Plan links script preparation to a selected position between songs; transcription connects completed links to the archive.
CUE checks a recording on the selected output. Two folder browsers, quick settings, transitions and switching between prepared vocals and instrumentals support different studio workflows.
BUILT-IN TOOLS AND AREAS
These features belong within this module and support different stages of everyday work.
Adding, reordering, removing, estimated starts and adjustable shortcuts make queue work easier. MANUAL and AUTO adapt operation to the show, crossfade overlaps transitions, and prepared vocal and instrumental versions can be switched on the active player.
Song-data searches, filters and type-to-jump speed up music selection. Preview a song and add it after the selected position; choose available prepared vocal or instrumental versions for later playback.
Colour-coded buttons launch jingles, beds and other recordings. Profiles, keyboard shortcuts, two Soundboard channels, repetition and macros adapt the board to the show. Individual recordings can be configured to return Playout to AUTO when they finish.
One view connects commitments, scripts, advertising and requests. Shift blocks, hourly templates, a fortnightly schedule and daily exceptions organise tasks, while claiming, postponing, skipping and completing them give the team a view of responsibilities.
Find songs that have not played for a long time and combine rating, artist, category, region, energy, mood and BPM. Review and preview the selection, then add one song or several marked candidates.
Review today's upcoming events, fill the queue ahead for a selected number of hours and refresh prepared Scheduler sources for the next refill. Quickly adjust crossfade and enable or disable individual planned events as needed.
Appearance, history logging and connected studio views are available from Playout. With a prepared shared configuration, transfer the working queue and prepare programme handover between studios; audio and connection availability are checked during installation.
Mark the song after which speech should follow, then select topics and approximate length. AURA prepares a presenter script using the neighbouring songs as context; the finished result goes to the prompter for the presenter to read in their own voice.
With a configured audio input and service, the program converts speech to text in streaming or batch mode. Sessions are archived, can receive AI refinement and can support available speech-task checks and records of phone contributions.
File A and File B provide two always-available locations for shows, jingles and other recordings. Favourites and remembered folders shorten searches, and you can preview or queue a selected file without first importing it into the music library.
Short station IDs play between songs. With overlay enabled and vocal cues prepared, choose placement at the previous song's end or the next song's start, plus music level, ducking and bed recovery.
A pending-link list and large text keep the script in front of the presenter. Font size adapts to the user, with information about the planned link position. The Read flag organises completed scripts and the sequence of upcoming suggestions.
Listen to a song or recording in the CUE player before broadcast. Three layouts, a waveform, time indicators, seeking and quick jumps make review easier. The preview output adapts to the studio's actual audio configuration.
The breakfast presenter checks Daily Plan, prepares a script in AURA and presents using A/B players and Soundboard. Prepared music and speech content continue according to the schedule for a later slot. The editor decides where people present live, where AI handles speech and what enters the broadcast queue.
